A national moment of connection

For this moment, I chose 31/12 at 23:55, because it is a time when we all come together to count down to the New Year.
So why not use this moment to end the year together with a message to the world?

I want to create a national moment of connection in our country, BelgiumSings.

With this moment, I want to bring all of Belgium together by singing a song as one.
For this year, I chose the song We Are the World.

My hope is that by next year, we can write a new song together with different Belgian artists, a song created specifically to be sung during this moment.
This is not something I want to happen just once. I want it to grow into an official national moment, a tradition.

There is something truly magical about being connected with an entire country at the exact same moment. Everyone feels part of something bigger than themselves.
Knowing that almost everyone is singing at the same time must be an incredibly powerful feeling.

With this moment, I want us to send a message to the world.
A message of unity, hope, and humanity.
A symbolic form of protest where we all sing together

for a better world.
